Normalmente se esconden en la carpeta de Windows\system32... También en la carpeta System Volume Information (por eso es aconsejable deshabilitar Restaurar Sistema, además de que se come mucho espacio)...
Además es también aconsejable tener en cuentas de usuario la cuenta invitado deshabilitada, que suele estar junto con la de administrador y la de .ASP
